A Birthday Fit for Two Queens

By: Sonya Mallard

On the night of September 26, 2020, the former Gibson High School Library in Titusville, Florida was transformed into a Ballroom fit for Kings and Queens.  The room was elegantly decorated with Black, Red and sprinkle of gold; Yes, the Kings and Queens showed up starting at 7:00 PM, dressed in Fashions from Brevard County and beyond;  Also, some wore matching face mask and the very few that left their mask in the car, were issued a mask at the door. (Decorations by Ms. Abigail White and Company). In the foyer, guests feasted on assorted Cheese, Fresh Fruits and Specialty Drinks (drinks by B Got The Juice; Additional assorted liquids by Ms. Angela).

The room is now full of well-wishers and anticipations, the phone rung and the Musician (Christopher Henry) changed the tune to the Welcoming of the Entering of the Birthday Ladies.  And what an Appearance they made; their outfits, were one of a kind seen only on Fifth Avenue in downtown New York City.  They strolled In with high heels and wearing a Tiera, one Tiera with the number 58 and the other Tiera with the number 60.  The attendees went wild and the Ladies kept on strolling and smiling from the entrance way to The Top of the Stage, where their Handsome Husbands waited patiently. Oh yes, the stage was beautifully decorated which became the Focal Point after the arrival and the seating of the Birthday Ladies.

Now it is time for Dinner; the second most important highlight of the evening.  As always, enough Food to serve a Village (catered by Abigail White and Company).  (All desserts were made by The Sweetest Spot). Yes, assorted desserts and two Birthday Cakes). After listening to soft music during the dinner hour, the Musician changed the volume and the beat to allow all guest an opportunity to get out on the floor and dance.  The floor stayed full of Kings and Queens throughout the evening and until midnight.  Oh what a night and no one was ready to say Goodnight but, the facility has a closing hour and the rest is History. For the record, the Ladies received many gifts and for that, they say Thank you.
