"The Heartbeat of Our Community"

The Evans Center Grand Opening

The Evans Market, was a grapple business in the overwhelmingly African-American neighborhoods of upper east Palm Bay and south Melbourne. Something that has truly been missed in the community for many years. Plans to make another Evans market began restoring steam in 2009, when the Powell Subdivision Neighborhood Watch and previous Congregations for Community Action sought after the thought. And now glory to God it is now here. The grand opening was March 9, 2019. What a wonderful turn out. And something more incredible, there is also a Community Center. Lastly, thank God there is something much more needed, and that is medical assistance to low income residences.
You guessed it! Our community now has a Brevard Health Alliance at the Evans Center. We are now accepting patients with insurance, and also those that do not have medical insurance. Brevard Health Alliance is always there to improve the well-being status of Brevard County’s therapeutically underserved populations.
All the above is located right at the new Evans Center located at 1361 Florida Ave NE, Palm Bay, FL 32905; ARNP Kinard Cooper; Dr. Thomas Garvin
The community center will be working on a youth work shop preparing and educating our youth for the future. Brevard Health Alliance will also be educating on health issues like diabetes and more. Now just to let you know, it’s not just a grocery store inside, there is also a deli with mouthwatering meals from the chef.
We have cried to a God about a grocery store, medical assistance, and our community center. Therefore, we must utilize these tools and use these services. If they are not used we can loose them as well. I can do all thing through Christ who strengthens me.
