Crane Creek’s Cocktail Reception Provides a Look into the Future

On the evening of April 11th, Florida Tech’s Gleason Auditorium played host to a dazzling fusion of Hollywood glamour and Brevard County charm during the Crane Creek Film Launch Cocktail Reception.

The event buzzed with energy, featuring live music, cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and a striking 17-foot-wide by 10-foot-long step-and-repeat banner showcasing Melbourne’s founders Peter Wright, Wright Brothers, and Balaam Allen.

Attendees embraced the evening’s elegance—women in stunning semi-formal and formal gowns, and men in sharp three-piece suits and tuxedos. Inside the theater, historian Dr. Teri Jones shared details of her research on Melbourne’s founders, and HGMi Studio’s Producer and Executive Director, Mark Spates Smith, captivated the audience with an exclusive first look at Crane Creek: The Untold Story.

He shared compelling insights into the film’s storyline, accompanied by original live music composed by Tomy Gé. The crowd was drawn in by the gripping drama, emotional depth, and powerful preview clips of the upcoming film.
